Women Are Built for Pleasure (And That Terrifies Patriarchy)

WOMEN ARE BUILT FOR PLEASURE (AND THAT TERRIFIES PATRIARCHY)

Here’s something they don’t want you to know:

Women’s bodies are designed for pleasure.

Not just reproduction. Not just making babies. Pleasure.

The clitoris - that small, powerful organ that exists in female bodies - has over 8,000 nerve endings. That’s double what men have in their entire penis. And it serves absolutely no reproductive function. None. It exists for one purpose only: to feel good.

Women can experience climax without getting pregnant. Multiple times. Our pleasure is completely independent of reproduction. We’re not just capable of enjoying sex - we’re neurologically wired for MORE pleasure than men can physically experience.

Think about what that means.

Women’s bodies prove that female sexuality isn’t about service, isn’t about reproduction, isn’t about men at all. It’s about us. Our experience. Our bodies. Our capacity for ecstasy that exists entirely for its own sake.

And patriarchy cannot fucking stand it!

Because if women’s pleasure doesn’t require men, doesn’t center men, doesn’t exist to serve male needs - where does that leave male control?

If women can experience pleasure on our own, if we’re designed for MORE satisfaction than men can provide through penetration alone, if our bodies are literally built to experience ecstasy independent of male participation - then men are not necessary for female sexual fulfillment.

That reality is unbearable to a system built on male dominance.

So patriarchy did what it always does when confronted with female power it can’t possess: it tried to destroy it.

HOW PATRIARCHY WEAPONIZED SHAME AGAINST FEMALE PLEASURE

🤬 Made self-pleasure sinful. Told women that touching ourselves is dirty, shameful, and ungodly. That our bodies belong to our husbands, not to us.

🤬 Called the clitoris “the devil’s doorbell.” Literally demonized the organ designed solely for our pleasure.

🤬 Performed genital mutilation. FGM (female genital mutilation) exists specifically to destroy women’s capacity for pleasure. Millions of girls have had their clitoris cut, burned, or removed entirely - not for health, not for hygiene, but to ensure they can’t experience sexual pleasure. To make sure sex is only about male satisfaction and reproduction, never about women enjoying our own bodies.

🤬 Reduced sex to penetration. Centered male climax and called it “sex” while treating female climax as optional, extra, or too complicated to bother with. The majority of women don’t climax from penetration alone - but patriarchy structured sexuality around the one act that guarantees male pleasure while often ignoring ours entirely.

🤬 Shamed women who enjoy sex. If you’re a woman who likes sex, who pursues pleasure, who knows what makes you feel good and asks for it, you’re labeled with degrading names, considered too much, broken, and dangerous. Female desire is treated as deviant while male desire is considered natural and expected.

🤬 Told women our pleasure doesn’t matter. That sex is our duty. That “good women” endure it for their husbands. That enjoying it makes us less respectable, less pure, less worthy of love.

All of this - every single piece of it - is designed to control female pleasure because female pleasure is evidence of female power.

When a woman knows her own body, knows what brings her pleasure, and prioritizes her own satisfaction, she doesn’t need male approval. She doesn’t need to perform. She doesn’t need to center men in her sexuality.

She is sovereign.

And sovereignty is the thing patriarchy fears most.

So it convinced women that pleasure is evil. That our bodies are shameful. That touching ourselves is sin. That our climaxes don’t matter as much as male climaxes. That sex is something we give to men, not something we experience for ourselves.

It lied.

Your body is not shameful. Your pleasure is not evil. Your capacity for ecstasy is not too much or inappropriate or something that needs to be controlled by religious doctrine or male authority.

You were built for this. Pleasure is your birthright.

And the fact that patriarchy spent thousands of years trying to destroy your access to it should tell you exactly how powerful it is.
