Who Runs the Patriarchy?

The short answer?

Men.

The longer answer?

Men who benefit from keeping women small. Men who are scared shitless of female power. Men who cling to outdated ideas of what it means to be “strong,” “masculine,” or “manly.”

But here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:

Women keep it running.

Women who have been conditioned to believe that their safety depends on obedience. Women who police other women for stepping outside the lines. Women who defend the very system that taught them to make themselves smaller.

Subservient women who will do almost anything to maintain their place inside a system that was designed to control and devour their power.

It survives because women have been taught to fear what happens when they stand in their true power.
